You can continue your career journey with us! **Principal Investigator, Paul Noble, MD invites you to consider this great opportunity to join their dynamic team!** Research in the Noble Laboratory focuses on cellular and molecular mechanisms of lung inflammation and fibrosis, the role of lung stem cells in pulmonary fibrosis and the role of host defense in lung inflammation and fibrosis. We have clinical expertise in interstitial lung disease and are conducting clinical trials in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiolitis and pulmonary disease related to connective tissue disease. The Research Associate I will perform a variety of routine experimental protocols and procedures to support the objectives of one or more laboratory research projects in a specific area of research. The RA I team member will be able to perform routine cellular, molecular biology procedures including, but not limited to Western, Northern blot, DNA/RNA, PCR, protein extraction, cell culture, flow cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, and staining. The incumbent will assist in general laboratory activities, including maintenance of reagents and stocking of supplies, and filing and monitoring of documents. This position keeps accurate and detailed records of experiments and results, assists in the operation of specialized equipment and machinery, and observes safety standards and procedures. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. **Primary Duties and Responsibilities:** + May assist with animal husbandry. + Maintains lab equipment and related records. + Transports, processes, and logs samples. + Maintains computer database with relevant clinical information. + Performs lab maintenance duties, including glassware cleaning and sterilization. + Maintains stocks of general lab materials, and places orders for equipment and supplies. + Assists new students and fellows at the laboratory. **Qualifications** **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in a Science related field, required. **Experience:** + Research laboratory experience is preferred. + Experience with tissue culture, animal handling, and molecular biology is highly preferred. + Working knowledge of database management, personal computers, and presentation and imaging software. + Must possess digital literacy in Excel and Word. **About Us** Cedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare encompassing primary care, specialized medicine and research.
