Job Description

Compensation Range: $25-35/hour (depending on level of skill, experience, and ability to competently perform all contouring and ceramist tasks)

Description: Contourist and/or Solid Ceramist with 2-5 years of experience for PFM, finishing, glazing. Prefer experienced ceramist with experience in stacking and contouring porcelain who can perform ceramist tasks (e.g, work with zirconia, E-MAX, and porcelain-fused-to-metal restorations), has knowledge on removable prostheses in implants, has knowledge of CAD/CAM software/processes and workflow tracking software, and is proficient in various dental implantology systems (e.g, Straumann, Zimmer Biomet, and Nobel Biocare/NobelProcera).

Candidate must have extensive experience in constructing, replacing, repairing, and restoring dental devices. Appliances and devices consist of crowns and bridges of various materials; complete/partial dentures; and various products including splints, veneers, and models. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of dental laboratory CAD/CAM processes, cementing/bonding devices with implants, combining implant technology with removable prostheses such as complete dentures, and fabrication of positioning guides. Able to complete ten to twelve, sometimes complex cases per day. Knowledge of All-on-X/All-on-4 a definite plus. Must be able to train other technicians in dental implants with assistance. Must have knowledge of crown and bridge dental technology and assist technicians in the fixed department if other technicians are absent or on vacation. Coordinate with other sections to ensure smooth workflow. Evaluate dentist and department manager feedback to facilitate production, quality work, and timely completion of work.

Education: Five years' experience or two years' experience plus graduation from an accredited dental laboratory technology program. Certified Dental Technician preferred but will consider the right technician with sufficient dental knowledge, education, and experience.

Schedule: Day Shift Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:

1. Read the Rx (doctor's prescription)
2. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, or schedule form
3. Problem solve and think independently and critically
4. Thorough understanding of dental anatomy, form, and function.
5. Make decisions and provide guidance for training and production
6. Perform necessary tasks to fabricate dental implant protheses, such as PFM, finishing, glazing, stacking and contouring porcelain (e.g, work with zirconia, E-MAX, and porcelain-fused-to-metal restorations), work on removable prostheses in implants.
7. Demonstrate proficiency in CAD/CAM software/processes, workflow tracking software, and various dental implantology systems (e.g, Straumann, Zimmer Biomet, and Nobel Biocare/NobelProcera).
8. Communicate with dentists and managers to verify correct procedures and devices
9. Follow all current and future policies and procedures of R-dent Dental Laboratory
10. Safely use all instruments and equipment
11. Oversee ordering of supplies according to policies set in place
12. Service-oriented and builds positive relationships with dentists, managers, and co-workers.
13. Display superb manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail.
